Loadline Man and Van Conditions of Carriage
Loadline Man and Van – Conditions of Carriage
1. Definitions
“Carrier”: Loadline, including employees, agents, or subcontractors.
“Customer”: The person, firm, or company requesting the service.
“Consignment” / “Goods”: Any items accepted by the Carrier for carriage.
2. Scope of Service
Loadline provides courier and logistics services within the UK & Ireland.
Services are limited to the collection, transport, and delivery of properly packaged goods.
Loadline does not offer waste or rubbish clearance under any circumstances.
House removals are not provided unless specifically agreed in writing and all items are adequately packaged.
3. Customer Responsibilities
The Customer must ensure that:
Goods are securely and sufficiently packaged to withstand normal handling and transport.
Goods are safe, legal, and do not contain hazardous, dangerous, prohibited, or illegal materials.
Fragile, valuable, or unusual items are declared in writing at the time of booking. If not declared, they travel entirely at the Customer’s risk.
Collection and delivery addresses are accurate, accessible, and suitable for delivery (including parking restrictions, narrow access, stairs, lifts, etc.).
Goods will fit into the premises (doorways, stairways, lifts). Loadline is not liable if items cannot be delivered due to access issues.
Adequate assistance is available at collection and delivery unless a 2-man service has been booked. If assistance is not available, Loadline may refuse delivery or charge additional fees.
All required paperwork is completed and provided before transport.
4. Collection & Delivery
Times given are estimates only. Loadline is not liable for delay caused by traffic, weather, accidents, breakdowns, or circumstances beyond its control.
A responsible person must be present at collection and delivery to hand over/receive goods and sign for delivery.
If no one is present, or if the address is incorrect or access is restricted, Loadline may charge for waiting time, failed delivery, redelivery, or return to depot.
Goods will not be left unattended unless agreed in writing, and at the Customer’s sole risk.
5. Insurance & Liability
Loadline holds the following insurance:
Public Liability Insurance: £1,000,000
Goods in Transit Insurance: £50,000 per vehicle, subject to a maximum of £5,000 per consignment and an excess of £100
Liability is strictly limited to these amounts unless otherwise agreed in writing before carriage.
The Carrier is not liable for:
Indirect or consequential loss (profits, penalties, business interruption, emotional distress, etc.).
Loss/damage from inadequate packaging, incorrect information, or undisclosed restrictions.
Loss/damage arising from the Customer failing to provide adequate help where a 1-man service is booked.
Minor cosmetic damage (scratches, scuffs) where access is tight, unless negligence can be proven.
Loss/damage of excluded goods (see Section 6).
Any claim must be made in writing within 7 days of delivery, with full supporting evidence. Claims outside this period will not be accepted.
6. Excluded Goods
Loadline does not carry:
Hazardous or dangerous goods

A deposit may be required. Deposits are refundable only if the Customer cancels in writing (phone/WhatsApp/email) at least 48 hours before the scheduled booking. Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable.
